He was predeceased by: his parents, James H. Gaither and Princilla Womble Gaither; and his brother Martin Gaither. He is survived by: his wife Kim Stewart Gaither of Graham; his children, April Gaither Hardee (Curt) of Enfield, Michael Scott Gaither (Heather) of Nashville and Jamie Gaither Frazier (Cam) of Red Oak; his grandchildren, Harrison Hardee, Aidan Hardee, Camdyn Frazier, Alaina Frazier, Christopher Gaither and Pearce Hagwood; his brothers, Craig Gaither of Cary and Chris D. Gaither of Wilmington; his niece Kate Gaither Wright (Louis); his great-niece Juliette; and his son Trey Collins.
