With sadness, we share the passing of Richard Cully Tipton of Graham, North Carolina. Richard, born on April 14, 1947 in Erwin, Tennessee, passed away on September 13, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Akward Tipton and Irene Tipton; and his siblings, Billy Tipton and Brenda Schneider (Viktor). He is survived by: his wife Denise; his children, Nikki Baity (Bryan) and Hunter Tipton (Brandi); his grandchildren, Maddox and Abigail Tipton; and his siblings, Sherry Harries, Mike Tipton (Kaye) and Charlie Tipton (Shelly).
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Emmanuel United Methodist Church (2331 Lavista Dr, Burlington, NC 27215). A reception will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
