He was predeceased by: his father Robert Lee McDonald; and his nephew Matthew McDonald. He is survived by: his wife Debbie Isley McDonald; his mother Elodia Marujo McDonald; his daughters, Christy Roessler (Scott) of Graham, NC and Carlie Wells (Chris) of Snow Camp, NC; his grandchildren, Dean Wells (Hayden), Tyler Wells, Faythlynn Wells, Cameron Roessler, Benjamin Roessler, Kaleb Roessler and Charlotte Roessler; his siblings, Rachel Lanier and Bobby McDonald; and his nieces and nephews, Corporal Garrett Isley, Lucus Causey, Carlee McDonald and Christina Murray.
