He is survived by: his wife Connie Baulding Howell; his daughters, Kim Marks (Brent Slaughter) of Burlington, Donna Groce (Wayne Groce) of Silk Hope, Carolyn Hamby of Cary and Suzi Pickard (Don) of Gibsonville; his grandchildren, Victoria Hamby of Charlotte, Hannah Marks (Michael Malta) of Burlington, Meredith LaSpaluto (Ben LaSpaluto) of Chapel Hill, Billy Don Pickard of Gibsonville and Blake Pickard of Graham; his brother Don Johnson (Ann Johnson) of Bear Creek; and his stepsister Kathryn Frazier of Liberty.
