It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betsy Jane Garland Harris of Granite Falls, North Carolina, who passed away on March 20, 2026, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilmer Garland and Blanche Buchanan; her son Jeff Harris; and her sister Mary Elmer Liske. She is survived by: her daughters, Tina Sharpe of Granite Falls and Wendy Simmons (Tim) of Taylorsville, N. C.; her grandchildren, Ashley, Jeremy and Amanda; her great grandchildren, Carter, Karli and Karsyn; and her siblings, Phillip Garland (Wilma) of Burnsville, N. C. and Hettie Jo Ensley (Jimmy) of Bethlehem, N. C..
