Colene Starnes Townsend Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Colene Starnes Townsend of Granite Falls, North Carolina, who passed away on June 30, 2025 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Starnes and Mattie Lou Reid Starnes; her husband Burlon Townsend; her son Jeff Townsend (Sandra Townsend); and her sisters, Alma, Lois and Billie Starnes.
She is survived by: her children, Lynette Powley (Randy), Ronald Townsend (Shirley) and Kevin Townsend (Kathy); and her sisters, Mildred Rozelle and Odena Coffey. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren.
