It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cora Bumgarner Reid of Granite Falls, North Carolina, who passed away on October 30, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her mother Lola Lou Bumgarner Collins; her husband Dan Wilson Reid; and her niece Amy Cherie Starnes. She is survived by: her daughter Linda Kirby (Paul "Buddy" Kirby, Jr.) of Granite Falls; her sister Rebecca Starnes of Granite Falls; her grandchildren, Jason Kirby (Tammy) and Julie Crisp (Jon); and her great grandchildren, Adam Kirby, Jacob Crisp and Joshua Crisp.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Mackie Funeral Service (35 Duke St, Granite Falls, NC 28630). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
