It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dean McDonald Kirby of Granite Falls, North Carolina, who passed away on September 7, 2023, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, William Kirby and Carrie Kirby; and his siblings, Lloyd, Wayne, Eulice, Hazel, Alma and Iva Lee.

He is survived by : his wife Brenda Kirby; his children, Wendy Chapman (Scott), Vickie Pittman (Danny), Nancy Norris (Mike), Dana Shatley and Eddie Hardwick (Angie); and his siblings, Gretta Hodge (Ernest) and Jack Kirby (Joan).
