She was predeceased by : her parents, William Dan Phillips and Ruth Dyer Phillips; her husband Edward Ellis Rich; her son Eugene "Gene" Leonard Rich; her grandson Christopher Lee Rich; and her siblings, William "Dan" Billly Phillips, Esther Phillips Cannon and Carrie Phillips Miller.
She is survived by : her children, Edwin Rich of Lenoir and Judy Rich Summerow (Roger) of Lenoir; her sister Catherine Phillips Pritchard of Lenoir; and her daughter-in-law Nancy Rich of Lenoir. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorials be made to Amorem Hospice, formerly known as Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care, 902 Kirkwood Street, Lenoir, NC, 28645.
