He is survived by: his wife Norma Gaye Hamm Jones; his children, Mark Jones (Margaret) of Hudson, David Jones (Amy) of Lenoir, Angela Wagoner (Nelson) of Granite Falls and Tommy Jones (Renae) of Taylorsville; and his sisters, Helen Hamm of Sparta and Linda Hamm of Statesville. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 11 greatgrandchildren.
