He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Lee Waters and Mary Parker Waters; his wife Annie Mae Biggerstaff Waters; his son Tony Waters; and his siblings, Ruth Biggerstaff, Shirley Whitt and Ronnie Waters.
He is survived by: his children, Roger Waters of Granite Falls and Wanda Ward (Billy) of Granite Falls; his grandchildren, Misty Colvard (Terry) of Granite Falls and William Ward (Brooke) of Valdese; his great grandchildren, Dawson Colvard (Hannah Simerly), Braylon Ward, Kamdyn Ward and Journee Ward; and his sister Jane Guffey (Robert) of Rutherfordton. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
