He was predeceased by: his mother Erma Bowman Blackstock; his wife Peggy Crane; and his sister Scottie Bowman Bailey. He is survived by: his father Luther Blackstock; his children, Jeffery Scott (Karla Crane) of Granite Falls, Vicki Gibson (Scott Gibson) of Durham and John Crane (Kimberly Crane); his grandchildren, Jason Crane of Chapel Hill, Tiffiany Crane of Bethlehem, Matthew Gibson of Hillsboro, Phillip Crane of Granite Falls and Megan Crane of Granite Falls; and his great grandchildren, Sarai Crane, Samuel Crane and Ava. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mackie Funeral Service (35 Duke St, Granite Falls, NC 28630). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Grace Chapel Global Methodist Church (4336 Grace Chapel Rd, Granite Falls, NC 28630).
