She was predeceased by: her parents, Philmore Ted Adams and Josephine Absher Adams; and her grandparents, Dewey, Bertha Absher and Flora Adams.
She is survived by: her husband Jim Smith; her daughters, Rebecca Parsons of Texas and Katherine Barcenas (Matthew) of Lenoir; her grandchildren, Wyatt, Alex, Noah, Addison and Raelyn; and her siblings, Roger Absher of Hudson, Tim Adams (Debbie) of Montana and Patsy Gray (C. L.) of Hickory. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Mackie Funeral Home (35 Duke St, Granite Falls, NC 28630). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Mackie Funeral Service (35 Duke St, Granite Falls, NC 28630).
