It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Rex Allen Wilson (Granite Falls, North Carolina), who passed away on May 26, 2025, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Troy Eugene Wilson, Sr. and Mary Evelyn Annas Wilson; and his brother Troy Eugene Wilson, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Christine R. Wilson; his children, Wesley Trivette (Kim), Sydney Reed (Jessika) and Heather Tennyson-Halliday (Sarah); his grandchildren, Brandon, Emily, Colter, Brandi, William, Samantha, Derek, Sabrina, Riley, Emma and Addison; his brother Gary Wilson (Jan); his nephews, Jeremy (Staci) and Nicholas (Misty); his niece Melissa; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Lily, Andru, Cooper and Evie. He is also survived by six great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Dry Ponds Baptist Church (5235 Union Church Rd, Granite Falls, NC 28630). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Rex's honor to the Dry Ponds Baptist Church Children's ministry. Keep Rex's legacy alive by donating to a charity in need.
