He is survived by: his wife Susan Ballard; his sons, Stephen Ballard of New York and Mark; his daughter-in-law Andrea Ballard of North Carolina; his grandchildren, Tim, Dear Ballard of Maryland, Grant and Christine Ballard of Maryland; his great grandchildren, Leilalynn Hope and Avery Grace Ballard of Maryland; his sister-in-law Karolyn Voelbel (Jim) of North Carolina; and his nieces and nephews, Heather Hagadorn of Colorado, Noelle Wachter (Dave) of North Carolina and Matthew Hagadorn (Meridith) of New Jersey.
