In loving memory of Rufus Melton Hope Jr. of Granite Falls, North Carolina, who departed this world on October 5, 2025 at the age of 85. Rufus leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Rufus Melton Hope, Sr. and Verla Hope Anderson; his former wife Alice Johnson Hope; his stepfather Robert Anderson; his sister Peggy Hope Wood; and his nephews, Jay and Timothy Wood.
He is survived by: his daughter Laura Hope Keller (Ben); his grandson Zachariah Keller; his wife Glenda Hope; his stepdaughter Tresa Allison-Kirby; and his nieces, Allison Phillips and Casey Hufflings.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:45 PM at the Mackie Funeral Service (35 Duke St, Granite Falls, NC 28630). A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Sunset Hills Cemetery (100 Pinewood Rd, Granite Falls, NC 28630).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church, 12 Crestview St., Granite Falls, NC 28630.
