Ruth Garnes May Obituary
We are sad to announce that, on March 7, 2025, at the age of 88, Ruth Garnes May of Granite Falls, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William T. Garnes and Dorothy Quinn Garnes; her husband Harry Mac Donal May; her siblings, James Garnes, Joe Billy Garnes, Ed Garnes, Harold Garnes, Faye Haas, Wanda Walker, Edith Haas and Vera Haas; and her grandson Matthew Spencer May.
She is survived by: her children, Marlon May (Brenda) of Granite Falls, Mike May (Karen) of Granite Falls, Rita Dyson (Tim) of Taylorsville and Linda Simmons (Dwayne) of Hickory; her granddaughters, Abbey Duggan and Lindsay Jordan (Richard); and her siblings, Floyd Garnes and Marie Garnes. She is also survived by two great-grandchildren.
