She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Abernathy and Bessie Abernathy. She is survived by: her sons, Phillip Abernathy and Ahmad Abernathy; her siblings, Mary Ann Abernathy, Helen Byrd, William Abernathy and Edward Jr. Abernathy; her niece Cazzamon Abernathy; and her nephew Fred Abernathy.
