The memory of Shirley Covington Foster of Granite Falls, North Carolina, who passed away on April 21, 2024 at the age of 76, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by : her parents, William Covington and Mabel Brown Covington; and her husband Ronald Foster. She is survived by : her daughters, Nancy Hawkins (Jonathan) and Rebecca Gilbert; her sister Mary Church; her grandchildren, Alanis Ball, Mark Hawkins, Sabrina Ball, Ryan Hawkins, Robbie Gilbert, Jordan Hawkins and Anthony Collins; and her great grandchildren, Addaline Spencer and HenleyFay Hawkins.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Lakeview Baptist Church (325 Shasta Ln, Lenoir, NC 28645). A memorial service was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 at 2:00 PM and at 3:00 PM.
