She was predeceased by: her parents, William Moore Carter and Naomi Annas Carter; and her siblings, Mildred Fox, Thad Carter, Billie Sue Cline and Lois Hefner.
She is survived by: her husband D. C. Hefner; her children, Angela Turnmire (Phil) of Hudson and Chris Hefner (Tammy) of Taylorsville; her grandchildren, Ross Turnmire (Katie), Meredith Hildebran (Jonny), Ben Turnmire (Ericka), Zachary Hefner (Lydia) and Lynee'Hefner; and her great grandchildren, Davis Turnmire, Sutton Turnmire, Tripp Turnmire, Harper Hildebran, Atlas Hildebran, Sawyer Hefner and Elsie Hefner.
