He was predeceased by : his parents, Charles Reid and Nell Walker Reid; and his siblings, Steve Reid, Charlene Reid Waston, Martha Reid Haigler and Jean Reid Powell.

He is survived by : his son Tim Reid (Mary); his stepchildren, David Poarch, Barry Poarch, Tony Poarch (Abby) and Sheila Reid (Allen); and his wife Nancy James Reid. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
