He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Gouge and Ruth McKinney Gouge. He is survived by: his wife Linda Edwards Gouge; his daughters, Karen Gouge Glenn (Steve Glenn) of Spruce Pine and Lisa Gouge Little of Morganton; his sisters, Mary Alice Gouge Wiedenhaupt (Jim Wiedenhaupt) of Spruce Pine and Linda Gouge Medford (Jack Medford) of Spruce Pine; his grandchildren, Dalton Glenn (April) of Bakersville, Clayton Glenn (Kayla) of Little Switzerland, Emily Rowe (Ethan) of Bakersville, Darren Little, Cassidy Lydie Little and Ian Little of Morganton; and his great grandchildren, Stevie, Johnny Rowe, Owen and Amos Glenn.
A reception was held on Sunday, February 8th 2026 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the Grassy Creek Baptist Church (420 Grassy Creek Rd, Grassy Creek, NC 28631).
