With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Aleña Shenell Hammonds of Greensboro, North Carolina, who passed away on July 14, 2023 at the age of 41. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She is survived by: her parents, Wendy Sanderson Hammonds and Charlie Ray Hammonds; and her siblings, Takoda Hammonds, Mayrim Lopez and Alex Sanderson. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles, one niece, and two nephews.
