He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Cone, Sr. and Anne Wortham Cone. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Ward Cone (Betty); his sons, Benjamin Cone III and Samuel Martin Cone (Trina); his grandchildren, Darden Elizabeth Cone and William Wortham Cone; and his sisters, Jeanette Cone Kimmel and Anne Cone Liptzin (Myron) of Chapel Hill.
