It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Autry of Greensboro, North Carolina, who passed away on May 22, 2026, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Betty Autry to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her former husband Waymon H. "Buddy" Autry; her parents, Peter Alley and Rosetta Alley; and her brothers, Joseph Alley and Donald Alley.
She is survived by: her children, Kevin Gene Autry (Robin), Waymon H. "Wayne" Autry, Jr. (Vicki) and Verona C. Snuggs (Chuck); her grandchildren, Kevin Gene Autry, Jr. (Katie), Gabriel Autry (Beatrice), Geena Autry, Emma Jewel Autry, Chandler Snuggs and Kayla Snuggs Tackett (Corbin); her great grandchildren, Kaleb Autry, Hudson Tackett and Haven Tackett; her brother Alvis Alley (Linda); her sister-in-law Carol Alley Brantley (Bill) of Raleigh, NC.; and her husband Omega Mortgage Corporation.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 3rd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Life Community Church (4900 W Wendover Ave, Jamestown, NC 27282). A reception will be held on Wednesday, June 3rd 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Shannon Hills Bible Chapel Of Greensboro, where their use should be designated for Mountain Top Youth Camp in Pinnacle, NC and/or Baptist Children's Home in Thomasville, NC.
