He was predeceased by: his parents, Hershel Moses Blackwell and Ruth Maynard Blackwell; and his nephew Eric Moore. He is survived by: his wife Amanda Blackwell; his children, Bryson Blackwell and Jurnee Blackwell; his brothers, Hershel K. Blackwell (Betty) of Reidsville, NC and Jerome Blackwell of Reidsville, NC; his sister-in-law Nicole Willis (Brandon) of Grovetown, GA; his aunt Bertha Stubblefield (Boyd); his uncles, Russell Blackwell and George Blackwell; his siblings' children, Tyrell Singletary (Michael), Haleigh, Myranda Willis, Stanley Rankin (Delta), Byron Moore (JaWanda) and Dominique Blackwell (Tiffany); and his great-nieces, Kimberly Williams, Lisa Murray (Cecil), Janice Smith and Debra Slade.
Visitation was held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Monday, October 6th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM. Viewing was held on Sunday, October 5th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the McLaurin-Harris Funeral Home (721 E Morehead St, Reidsville, NC 27320). A funeral service was held on Monday, October 6th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Benaja Mt. Zion Holiness Church of God (600 McWalker Rd, Reidsville, NC 27320).
