He was predeceased by: his parents, Sarah Johnson Emerson and Easley Fleetwood Emerson; and his siblings, Woody, Craig and Valerie Emerson.

He is survived by: his children, Dusti Power (Tim) of Climax and Daniel Emerson (Lucy) of Greensboro; and his grandchildren, Keelin, Jackson, Finn, Sullivan, Aaron and Benjamin.

The family requests that any memorial contributions be made to Mercy and Grace Ministries; an organization so very dear to his heart and his family.
