Cameron Cooke Obituary
We are sad to announce that, on May 11, 2025, at the age of 87, Cameron Cooke (Greensboro, North Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Cameron farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Cameron is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Aylene Edwards of Rutherfordton, NC and Robert Bruce Cooke of Swepsonville, NC. He is survived by: his wife Ann J. Ritter; his children, Mary Ruth Faulkner (Reynolds) of Charlotte, NC, Robert Cameron Cooke, Jr. (Marnie) of Denver, CO and Caroline Atkinson (Hank) of Charlotte, NC; and his former wife Mary Ruth Starling Hardy. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Memorials in lieu of flowers may be given to Holy Trinity Episcopal Church of Greensboro, NC, Episcopal Cursillo, Kairos Prison Ministry International, Inc. of Orlando, FL, the Interactive Resource Center, Inc. or to the beneficial purpose of one's choosing.
