He was loved and cherished by many people including: parents: Gerald Edward Stoneking and Audrey Pauline Harper Stoneking Murphy; wife: Tina Ellen Vires; son: Isaac Stoneking; granddaughter: Allyson Gabrielle Stoneking; sisters: Linda Schueller and Lynn Stoneking Leeuwenburg; brothers: Michael Stoneking (Janis) and Patrick Stoneking; uncles: Al Stoneking (Marty), Lee Stoneking (Evelyn), and Richard Stoneking (Gladys); and several nieces, nephews, and four adult children of Tina Ellen Vires.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Danville National Cemetery (721 Lee St, Danville, VA 24541).
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations in Carey's memory to a glioblastoma research organization, a veterans' charity, or another cause meaningful to the donor.
