She was predeceased by: her parents, Jess Willard Long and Louise Emelia Long. She is survived by: her children, Todd Shore, Rory Shore, Tori Baker (Thomas), Nathan Adams (Karen) and Matthew Adams (Karen); her grandchildren, Courtney Young, Hunter Shore, Stephanie Baker, Sydney Baker, Seth Baker, Zach McMillan, Araceli Adams, Keaton Adams, Cade Adams, Micah Adams and Cruz Adams; and her brothers, William Long (Kay), Richard Long (Cindy) and Dwight Long (Nellie).
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests that donations be offered in Carol's memory to the Baptist Children's Homes of North Carolina, Tunnel to Towers Foundation, or Samaritan's Purse.
