He is survived by: his wife Doris Kivett Farthing; his children, Lisa Hawkins (Bryan) of Greensboro, Sandra Huffine of Colfax, Eric Cable of McLeansville and Ralph Farthing (June) of Greensboro, E. C; his siblings, Yvonne F. Gunnell of Danville, VA, Nora F. Hawker of Keeling, VA, Charlotte F. Swinney of Axton, VA, Dan Farthing of Danville, VA and Howard Farthing of Colonial Heights, VA; and his grandchildren, Richard Farthing, Carolyn Farthing, Michael Morgan, Charlie Morgan, Ronald Huffine, Brandon Huffine, Erin Cable and Ian Cable.
