He was predeceased by: his mother Nancy Smith; and his pet Emma. He is survived by: his father Kenneth Key, Jr.; his siblings, Heather Owens (Gabriel), Scott Key (Priscilla) and Dale Key; and his nephews, Keyton Owens, Alex Key and Nick Key.
A memorial service was held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Lakeview Memorial Park Chapel (3600 N O. Henry Blvd, Greensboro, NC 27405).
