Though Clarece may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Cruickshank and Clara Cruickshank; her children, Carol Elizabeth Adsit Brackett and Paul Stuart Thornton; and her brother George Cruickshank.
She is survived by: her son-in-law Charles Brackett (Carolyn) of Amelia Island, FL; her nephew Randall Kiser (Kay) of Oak Ridge, NC; her sister-in-law Betty Cruickshank of Asheville, NC; her nephew Steve Cruickshank (Debi) of Asheville, NC; her great-niece Shannon Willard (Chris) of Madison, NC; and her great-nephew Brandon Smith (Mandi) of Cumming, GA. She is also survived by 2 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Beaches Chapel (1701 Beach Blvd, Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250). A burial will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at the H. Warren Smith Cemetery (1538 2nd Ave N, Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250).
