He was predeceased by: his parents, Archie Holmes and Sallie Holmes; his significant other Clara Byrd Holmes; and his brothers, Fred, Ralph and Jerry Holmes.
He is survived by: his sons, Curt Holmes (Dorothy) and Brad Holmes (Hannah); his grandchildren, Elizabeth McHone (Tyler), Curtis Holmes (Gaby), Alexander Holmes and Brayden Hahn; and his great grandchild Tyson McHone.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Ray's name to Operation Smile, honoring his legacy of service and care for others.
