He was predeceased by : his parents, Hampton Shuping and Margaret Shuping of Greensboro. He is survived by : his wife Deborah French Shuping; his siblings, Jane Shuping Tyndall of Denver, Ruth Shuping Murphy of Pittsboro, Hampton Shuping Jr. of Conway, SC and Sallie Shuping Russell of Chapel Hill; and his nieces and nephews, Edward Tyndall, Eric Shuping, Jason Shuping, Margaret Tyndall Hanks, Martha Murphy, Caroline Russell Howe, Margaret Taylor Russell See and Katie Russell Martin.

A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, April 30th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Westminster Gardens Mausoleum (3601 Whitehurst Rd, Greensboro, NC 27410).
