He was predeceased by: his parents, Rosemary Powers and JW Powers. He is survived by: his wife Sharon; his children, Katelyn, Nicole (Allen), Kevin (Carlye), Shannon, Emily, Carley, Linley, Whitney and Cloey; and his siblings, Jason Powers (Gina), Janet Shelton, Leah Kilroy and SeSee Munson (Chris). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Francis Episcopal Church (3506 Lawndale Dr, Greensboro, NC 27408). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, September 5th 2025 from 12:15 PM to 1:30 PM at the David and Sharon's House (6103 Muirfield Dr, Greensboro, NC 27410).
