She was predeceased by : her father William Forrester Thomas; and her brother Gordon Wayne Thomas (Peter Michael Vanderwerff). She is survived by : her husband Joe Brantley; her daughters, Alice Givens (Ron) and Sarah Kaplan (Keith); her granddaughters, Alice Austin Givens, Sarah Walker Marian Givens, Alice Fortune Kaplan and Anne Byrd Kaplan; her siblings, Ramona Thomas Presson and Ronald Forrester Thomas (Tamra); her stepdaughters, Rebecca Brantley Hancock (HH) and Leigh Brantley Wheeler (Oliver); and her mother-in-law Juanelle Brantley.
