Earnest Ray Odom Obituary
We are sad to announce that on July 7, 2025, at the age of 84, Earnest Ray Odom (Greensboro, North Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Earnest shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Earnest farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Carlton Odom and Schadie Deese Odom; his sister Patricia Anne Odom; and his granddaughter Lauren Nesbitt. He is survived by: his wife Laura Odom of Greensboro; and his daughters, Melissa Nesbitt (Jeffrey) of Virginia Beach, Virginia. and Pamela Spicuzza of Virginia Beach, Virginia.. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the George Brothers Funeral Service (803 Greenhaven Dr, Greensboro, NC 27406). A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In honor of Mr. Odom, memorials may be given to Bridge of Hope Church 4104 Short Farm Rd. Greensboro, NC 27406 and take time to spend with your family and loved ones.
