Effie Lee Barnett Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Effie Lee Barnett (Greensboro, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 5, 2025 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Obie, Sr. and Lois Yancey Obie; and her brothers, Arthur Obie, Jr., Ted Obie and Calvin Obie.
She is survived by: her children, Patricia Cardinez and Daniel Barnett, Jr.; her grandchildren, Nia Barnett, Anthony Cardinez (Adrian), Rachel Cardinez and Latisha Cardinez (Derrick Clay, Sr.); her great grandchildren, Chyna Cardinez, Derrick Clay, Jr., Antonio Cardinez, Alisha Jennings, Darius Clay, Bianca Clay and Camrin Cardinez; and her sisters, Nannie McCrawford, Shirley Obie, Thelma Bryant (Leon) and Zelma Wingfield. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 15th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses (3520 McKnight Mill Rd, Greensboro, NC 27407).
