He was predeceased by: his parents, Durwood Gibbs and Lola Midyette Gibbs; and his brothers, Guy F. Gibbs and Larry Jackson Gibbs. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Gibbs; his niece Sharon Bunn; and his nephew Keith Brantley.
