He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest DeWitt and Estella DeWitt; and his stepmother Sally DeWitt. He is survived by: his wife Mary DeWitt-Echevarria; his stepsons, Rafael and Daniel; his grandson Jude Rosado; and his siblings, Bonita DeWitt, Darlene Cole of Richmond, VA and Ronald DeWitt (Carol) of Bowie, MD.
