It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Frances Turner Oakes (Greensboro, North Carolina), born in Durham, North Carolina, who passed away on April 23, 2025, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Bartley A. Turner and Rosa Turner. She is survived by: her children, Nancy Land, Victor Kinney (Martha) and Marie Oakes; her grandchildren, Michelle Savage, Kelly Martin and Andrea Cranford; her great grandchildren, Sarah (Hunter), Mollie (Stephen), Kierstin (Bryan), Chloe and Skyler; her great great grandchildren, Grey and Gwyneth; and her siblings, Dorothy, Catherine (Dave), Cecelia and Tom (LaVerne).
