He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Taft and Ruth Taft (Schneider). He is survived by: his wife Ellen Taft; his daughters, Tracy Morton (Jamie) and Elizabeth Meredith; and his grandchildren, Cameron Morton, Samantha Morton, Taft Meredith and Teddy Meredith.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Christ United Methodist Church (410 N Holden Rd, Greensboro, NC 27410).
