He was predeceased by: his parents, Roscoe Lee and Mary Hess Pearson Brumback; his wife Bettye Jo Soloman Brumback; his daughter Leeta Brumback; and his siblings, Mary Sue Bjorkland and Roscoe Lee Brumback, Jr..

He is survived by: his children, Karl Brumback (Eileen), Mark Brumback (Donna) and Elizabeth Brumback Eilers (Pat); and his grandchildren, Matthew Brumback (Catherine), Mark Brumback (Georgia), Roscoe Brumback and Delaney Brumback.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Rotary Club of Greensboro or Prevent Blindness North Carolina.
