George leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. George’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew George will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Kathleen Karl and Henry Karl. He is survived by: his wife Deidre Viars; his children, Stacey Hammer (Ethan) and Alex Karl (Kaitlyn); and his granddaughters, Emery, Harper and Abigail.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Forbis & Dick Funeral Service (1118 N Elm St, Greensboro, NC 27401). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Terminal Tap (2800 Lawndale Dr, Greensboro, NC 27408).
