Gwen Masters Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gwen Masters (Greensboro, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 12, 2026 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Edwin Groome and Mary Osborne Groome; her husband Donald Eugene Masters (Don); her siblings, Martha Weber (Warren Weber), Gilbert Groome and Robert "Bob" Ham; and her in-laws, Madge Schooner, Mary Jane Archer (Glen Archer), Alma Kallam (Obie Kallam) and Ken Masters.
She is survived by: her children, Mary Joyce Masters Marks, Eric Masters (Vicki Kimberlin Masters) and Gretchen Masters Baugh (Bibb Baugh); her grandchildren, Erika Masters (Jason Lynam), Ben Masters (Emily Walter Masters), Stephen Marks, Matthew Marks, Trevor Baugh (Katy Jones Baugh) and Genna Baugh Hardgrove (Brad Hardgrove); her stepgrandson Brandon Fisher (Stacy Donaldson Fisher); her brother Ken Groome (Pat); and her in-laws, Clara Peterson (late Gene Peterson), Issadore Masters (late Cecile Masters), Grace Breese (late Art Breese) and Bill Masters (Joyce Masters). She is also survived by six great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Rehobeth Church, AuthoraCare Collective Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro, Gideons International or Lees-McRae Alumni Association.
