He is survived by: his wife Janis Meade; his children, Christina Gainor (Jacob) of Raleigh and James Meade of Greensboro; his brother Edwin Meade (Betty) of Greensboro; his grandchildren, Elijah, Lucas, Liam Meade, Will, Adeline and Anna Gainor; and his niece Betsy Leatherman (Ronnie) of Greensboro.
