It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hubert Stanback (Greensboro, North Carolina), born in Raeford, North Carolina, who passed away on July 28, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Hector Stanback and Sadie Stanback; and his siblings, Thomas, Herbert, Anita Gilliam, Laura Shaw and Gwen Walker.

He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Dean Stanback; his sisters, Mary and Frances Stanback; his children, Eric Stanback and Denita Ramirez; and his grandchildren, Shaniece Stanback, Erik Stanback, Christina Stanback, Noemi Vaden, Noelia Ramirez and Neftali Ramirez. He is also survived by great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews, great-grand nieces and nephews, great-great-grandnieces and nephews, and a host of cousins.
