He was predeceased by: his parents, Latha Hubert and Hessie Mae Kiser Bennett; his wife Betty Bennett; his siblings, Dorothy Culver (Jim), Jim Bennett (Mary), Bob Bennett (Carolyn) and Marie Bennett (Fran); his nephew Rick Culver; and his in-laws, Ruth Beck (Bill) of Rural Hall, Rosanelle Kiger (Clarence) of Rural Hall and John Reich (Pat) of Rural Hall.
He is survived by: his son Jack Bennett Jr.; his sibling's children, Rita Dell Bennett, Janet Cioppa (Al), Lori Carlyle (Mark), Lynda Nasti (Robert), Mark Bennett (Lorrie) and Ted Beck; his great-nieces, Lindsay Wood Jacobo (Lucio), Julie Cioppa and Brooke McCauley (Chris); his great-nephew Jordan Douglas Wood (Paige) of Winston-Salem; and his sister-in-law Pat Reich.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Jack's name may be made to Starmount Presbyterian Church, the Salvation Army, Greensboro Urban Ministry, and the Wounded Warrior Project.
