It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James William Mathis (Greensboro, North Carolina), who passed away on April 5, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Mathis and Trissie Mathis; and his siblings, Johnny Mack, Tommy, Terry Mathis and Dawn Hill.
He is survived by: his wife Jerrine Mathis; his children, Rhonda Rampley, Chris Mathis (Debra), Randy Weavil, Karen Atkins (Jimmy) and Gary Weavil (Pam); and his close friends, Rick, Sherry Allison and Ken Dickson. He is also survived by six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages you to make a donation to your local Hospice group in appreciation of the care they gave to Jim.
